At present, there are a total of 1205 elementary pupils and 730 high school students in the public schools. They are accommodated in six elementary schools with a total of 48 academic classrooms and one public high school with 14 academic classrooms.

     For the elementary, the average pupils per classroom of 25 students per classroom are still way below the national average. However, the high school ration of 50 students per classroom is already way above the acceptable limit.

     The six elementary school is being supervised by Ms. Gloria Bumagat, the District supervisor who holds office at the Dolorees Ongsiako central Elementary School. Mr. Rufino Aban in the Principal of the said central school with 20 faculty members. San Francisco Elementary School and its satellite  San Jose Primary School is under the administration of Mrs. Rosalia Fernando with 8 and 4 teachers respectively. Mrs. Maria Christina Dugay handles Bantog Elementary School with 8 teaching personnels and its satellite school Dagundon Elementary School in Sinese with 3 teachers. Mrs. Evangeline Borje is the principal of Casili Elementary School with 8 teachers.

     The lone high school, the Anao High School with a teaching force composed of 20 teachers headed by  Mrs. Leona C. Ramos as pricilpal, is situated at the heart of Poblacion beside the Anao Police Station accommodates not just students residing in Anao but also students from Nampicuan, Nueva Ecija.

     The Local School Board of the municipality ensures that the Special Education Fund (SEF) is being distributed proportionally to the public schools and sees to it that it is being spent to meet the needs of the public schools.
